Project has been done from mid-2007 aiming to replace system of traffic lights, which is running by electricity supply network. Up to now, the project has developed 40 lamp posts, distributed mainly at the highways in Bien Hoa city, with installation expense of more than 3 billion VND.
According to Dong Nai Traffic Safety Board, each lamp post, using solar energy panel, can accumulate energy and maintain operation of traffic lights in 48 hours.
This system has advantages such as stable operation without using supply network, easy installation. The province will continue to install this system at other highway lines in the province this year.
