(ĐN)- Dong Nai Big C supermarket inaugurated a new store next to its existing centre at an investment of over US$ 5 million on the occasion of its 10th birthday. The new store covers 9,000 square metres.
Dong Nai Big C supermarket was opened on August 8, 1998 and it was the first chain store opened in Vietnam and the first modern retail center in Vietnam.
Groupe-Casino France is a World leading retailer and operates supermarkets in France, South America, Asia (in Vietnam and Thailand under the name Big C). It has 9,800 retail stores in 11 countries with over 200,000 employees. The group’s turnover in 2007 is estimated at around Euro 36 billion. During ten years operating in Vietnam, the Group has expanded its supermarket chain across Vietnam with 7 stores in the southern province of Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Hai Phong and Da Nang. Its stores offer 50,000 goods, 95% of which are made in Vietnam.
