(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council Huynh Chi Thang recently chaired a meeting with the representatives of industrial parks in the province, and the discussion was about industrial wastewater treatment operations.
Of the province’s total 21 IPs, only 10 have installed waste water treatment systems. More than 70 per cent of enterprises in industrial parks of the province have not yet built wastewater treatment facilities.
At the meeting, representatives of local IPs highlighting difficulties facing IPs in treating industrial wastewater and proposed solutions to local problems. Vice Chairman Huynh Chi Thang warned that from now until the end of this year, the province will close down enterprises without wastewater treatment facilities while IPs without wastewater treatment systems has to stop attracting investment. The province will set pollution limitation and other necessary limitations on each waste discharge point in the coming time.
