The provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs reported that the rate of trained labourers in Dong Nai at the present is only 36 per cent. Of which, the number of skilled labourers is around 20 per cent according to the assessments by enterprises. There is still no regular training for services personnel. The vocational training system faces obstacles such as lacking of teaching staff and teaching aids, lacking of co-operation between vocational schools and enterprises ….
Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh recognised the important role of vocational and technical education in supporting the economic development of the province. He also underscored the importance of training skilled workers for manufacturing industry and service sector. He said the province should attract and encourage qualified and experienced trainers to teach in vocational schools. He added teaching strategies of vocational schools are to give students the knowledge, skills, and virtues.
