According to the steering committee of the province Hunger Eradication and Poverty Alleviation, most of the poor families in the province has given preferential loans in the past two years, with an average credit of VND 7 million for each. During the period, 48 per cent of poor households in the province have been provided preferential loans to help them develop poultry breeding, 37 per cent have been given preferential loans for cultivation of crops and loans for the rest to help them develop production and services. The province Hunger Eradication and Poverty Alleviation Fund plans to give preferential credits to about 7,000 poor families in 2008 with an average credit of VND 15 million for each.
