(ĐN)- AJINOMOTO Company located in Bien Hoa 1 industrial zone, Dong Nai province received the environmental award “Green trademark” from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The award was presented to businesses with special performances in environmental improvement and protection. Ajonomoto company produces seasoning products so a large amount of solid waste is generated every day. The company has implemented ISO 14000: 2004 Environmental Management Systems. Accordingly, the company has installed best management practices to reduce input water usage, minimize waste water volume, reduce and control air emissions and recycle 100 per cent of its waste. The treated waste water is recycled for other uses within the company which indicated the heavy capital investment in waste water treatment facility.
