(ĐN)- A meeting was held yesterday in Dong Nai to review the emulation movements in 2007 and sign a mutual agreement in 2008. Le Hong Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vo Van Mot, Chairman of the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee attended the meeting.
The meeting honored typical units and individuals who actively participate in patriotic emulation movements. During the last year, prestigious Labor Medals were given to 9 collectives and individuals while Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister were given to 11 units and 43 individuals. 58 units got Emulation Flags of Government. In addition, 1781 individuals and units were also honored with Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People’s Committee.
Addressing at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary Le Hong Phuong praised individuals and units for their efforts and achievements in the emulation movement in the province. He also said that the province should encourage new examples and outstanding persons in the emulation movement, creating new motive force for the socio-economic development of the province. Phuong noted that the campaign to follow President Ho’s morals must go hand in hand with the promotion of emulation and patriotic movements, creating new momentum for fulfiling socio-economic tasks for 2008. He also emphasized that year 2008 marks an important transitional year in the implementation of tasks outlined in the tenth Party congress’s resolutions and the resolutions adopted at the seventh Provincial Party Congress.

On the occasion,
representatives of 17 units in the province signed a mutual agreement in 2008. Under the agreement, the province will focus on the movement for practising thrift, combating waste and fighting corruption, creating positive changes in socio-economic infrastructure in order to fulfill socio-economic tasks in 2008.Reported by Phong Vu
