(ĐN)- On May 9, Dong Nai Children Sponsor Fund had a working session with related departments and agencies to review its activities in 2007 and discuss tasks for 2008. In 2007, the Fund mobilized more than VND6.1 billion to help poor children in the province. Accordingly, 8,666 children with difficult circumstances have been provided free surgeries, health checks up, scholarships and gifts during the past year. In 2008, the Fund will continue to call for donations from enterprises and individual to help 8,700 children with a total cost of more than 4 billion; the Fund will focus on providing free heart surgery to poor children.
