Three coaches collided at 5.45am, July 16 on National Highway 1A, the section crossing Hung Loc commune, Thong Nhat district of the southern province of Dong Nai, killing seven and injuring 40 others.

A coach travelling from the north to the south was speeding and hit four motorbikes, one bicycle and two other coaches. The accident killed five people immediately. Two passengers in two coaches died and 40 passengers in the three coaches were injured.
At the scene of accident, the coach that caused the accident overturned; the four motorbikes were bent out of shape; and the two other coaches running in the opposite direction had their front ends damaged.
