Viettel receives the title of “Labor Hero”

(ĐN)- Recently, the Military Telecommunications Corporation (Viettel) was honored with the "Labor Hero" title for business successes as well as contributions to the growth of the nation’s telecommunications industry.

(ĐN)- Recently, the Military Telecommunications Corporation (Viettel) was honored with the "Labor Hero" title for business successes as well as contributions to the growth of the nation’s telecommunications industry.

On the occasion, a meeting was held by Dong Nai branch of Viettel at meeting-hall of the provincial Party Committee’s office on May 15.

In the past time, Viettel has affirmed its number one position as the most prolific mobile phone provider in Vietnam with 3,500 transmission stations, which cover all 64 cities and provinces. Until April of 2007, Viettel’s total number of telephone subcribers reached over 11 million including more than 10 million of mobile phone subscribers.

Viettel has so far installed 122 transmission stations, 50 switchboards throughout Dong Nai province, extending coverage to remote or deep-lying areas of Dong Nai province. Viettel now has over 300,000 subscribers in Dong Nai.
