(ĐN)- Whirlwinds accompanied by rain hit Dat Moi village, Phu Hoi commune of Nhon Trach district on the afternoon of April 5, unroofing 13 houses and damaging an electricity pillar and uprooting tens of fruit trees. Besides, telecommunications system was also damaged and all contact was lost.
Earlier, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds had occurred in communes of Phu Thinh, Phu Lap, Ta Lai, Nui Tuong, Thanh Son and Phu Xuan in Tan Phu district of Dong Nai province.
No injured was reported, however, 63 houses had been totally destroyed and more than 270 had been unroofed and 300 hectares of fruit trees and thousands of hectares of cashew, coffee… had been damaged, causing a loss of billions of dongs.
