Bien Hoa city holds a solemn ceremony to honour Hung Kings

(ĐN)- A solemn ceremony to offer incense to the nation’s forefathers, the Hung Kings, was held at the Hung Temple in Binh Da ward, Bien Hoa city, on the morning of April 26.

(ĐN)- A solemn ceremony to offer incense to the nation’s forefathers, the Hung Kings, was held at the Hung Temple in Binh Da ward, Bien Hoa city, on the morning of April 26. Attending the ceremony were Mr.Tran Dinh Thanh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Hong Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Mr.Vy Van Vu, Secretary of the Bien Hoa city’s Party Committee, and Mr. Huynh Van Toi, Head of the provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Training Department.

 

At the ceremony, the representatives and participants who are the local people reviewed Vietnamese tradition of “Con Rong Chau Tien” (Descendants of the Dragon and Fairy). Besides, traditional cultural activities such as competition of square cake cooking, art performance activities, folk games were also organized to celebrate Hung Kings Festival.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Van Toi praised the efforts made by the Bien Hoa city’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee to organize the ceremony. He added that more efforts should be made to further attract the participation of local people in meaningful event in the next year.
