(ĐN)- The Long Binh Technological Park Development Company (Loteco) celebrated the 10th anniversary of its establishment on 17 April. Speaking at the anniversary ceremony, Loteco’s general director Pham Quang Sam said that the park has sought permission from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to double its present 100ha-surface area. To date, 100 hectare of Loteco’s industrial space (the first phase) is fully leased. It has attracted 50 foreign-invested projects with combined registered capital of US$240 million. The company has also invested US$23 million in building technical infrastructure such as waste-water treatment system, internal traffic system, etc.
Major General Ho Si Hau, Head of Economic Department under the Ministry of National Defence, highly appreciated the achievements made by Loteco, first unit of Ministry of National Defence invested in the field of industrial zones’ infrastructure trading. Thanks to suitable policies for attracting investment, Loteco quickly overcame Asian monetary crisis of 1997-2000.
On the occasion of 10th anniversary of its establishment, Loteco has received the environment management certificate ISO 14001: 2004 from the British organization BVQI.
