Thong Nhat General Hospital Receives ISO 9001:2000 Certification

(ĐN) – Thong Nhat General Hospital has recently won ISO 9001-2000 Certification. The Thong Nhat General Hospital becomes the first unit of the healthcare providers in the province and is among the first public hospitals nationwide to attain the ISO 9000:2000 standard and to be awarded an ISO certificate by the Vietnamese Quality Certification Center (QUACERT). The certificate confirms that internal quality management system of the hospital complies with ISO 9001:2000 requirements. This also proves that the hospital provides high-quality care for patients to satisfy increasing patient and public demand for involvement in healthcare.

In 2005, the hospital in coordination with other organizations provided free sight-restoring treatment to poor patients and also offered free medical aid to disable children in the province. Besides, hospital leaders have also endeavored to raise the living standards of hospital staff. In 2006, the hospital will continue to renovate and to be better equipped to meet the needs of patients now and in the future.
