(ĐN)- Sonadezi College of Technology and Management held its opening ceremony of the school year on October 29, in the morning. The distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Banh Tien Long, Vice Minister of Education and Training, Dr. Huynh Van Toi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
Sonadezi College of Technology and Management is among the first Vietnamese colleges to adopt a demand-driven approach to meet enterprise expectations. The college is invested and managed directly by Sonadezi Company. The college is structured into 3 faculties which are responsible for the education of around 337 students in the school year 2005/06. Faculty comprises three departments focusing on clothing, footwear and management areas. Besides, the college offers professional development courses to aim at having students become professionals in their fields of specialization. Two additional faculties including the faculty of commercial language spoken in English and the faculty of informatics are expected to be established in the next academic year. At present, the college is taking an active role in developing all its teaching staff and facilities that benefit students. The college’s overall goal is to increase the supply of qualified labor force to meet business demands.
