Viet Nam to import 260 million more doses of bird flu vaccine.

Viet Nam will import 260 million more doses of vaccine to continue vaccinating poultry against bird flu nationwide, according to the Veterinary Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The plan will bring the total of imported vaccine to 380 million doses, worth about 100 billion VND, said Quang Anh, Director of the Veterinary Department.

So far, 21 provinces and cities in the  country have vaccinated their poultry and the vaccination will continue in high-risk provinces and cities, he added.
