(ĐN) – The Provincial Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs reported lower unemployment rate in the local thanks to agencies and programs creating more jobs for workforce during the past 5 years. Accordingly, there were more than 373000 people employed in the province (over 10000 of whom were returnees). In which, over 175000 people were employed in enterprises located in the local. Besides, the province has also conducted co-operative recruitment programs to send workers abroad, this helping to reduce the unemployment rate in the local. As a result, the number of persons in employment rose by 6.7% compared with the planed target. The jobless rate in 2001 was 4.5%; it decreased to 3% in 2005. During the past 5 years, local unemployment rate from rural areas to urban centers has been declined significantly. At the same time, the province has actively conducted vocational training and established the system for training, ceaselessly work to increase the ability of the trainees for meeting recruitment demands of entrepreneurs.
