(ĐN)- Yesterday afternoon of June 1, Mrs. Dang Thi Kim Nguyen as Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Peoples’ Committee received Mr. Seiji Aikawa as President of Japanese Aikawa Asia Business Consultants who promotes Japanese investment in Vietnam and other countries in Asia and also acts as an adviser of Ministry of Economy in Japan. In this meeting, she showed goodwill of the local authorities towards foreign investors about the housing policy for employees. "The province will exempt investors from land lease costs when the land is used to build houses for their employees. Besides, governments should give a helping hand to their investors in Vietnam for providing their employees with accommodation. Investors will supply furniture to houses of their employees and manage their apartment blocks to be built under the sponsorship of their governments. Accordingly, the housing problem of employees will be settled soon. The employees will keep their mind on their work. Taiwanese and Korean investors have paid attention to this matter". She said.
Mr. Aikawa welcomed the local suggestion enthusiastically. He will contact Japanese Business Association in Vietnam in order to get their proposals about the housing problem for passing through Japan government to approve soonest. At the same time, he also drew attention of his investors in Vietnam to this issue. They should pay attention to it as soon as possible.
According to Mr. Aikawa’s opinion, Japanese investors come increasingly to Vietnam, in particular, Dong Nai whereas the province is short of workforce. For this reason, many Japanese investors are still hesitating about providing accommodation for their employees. The situation, however, appeared competition between investors for attracting workforce to work for their enterprises. As a result, many investors have built tenement houses or paid an allowance of rent house for their employees.
