Trang Bom: Young urban area accelerates on Dong Nai's development momentum

Trang Bom commune is emerging as a dynamic urban area and a key pillar of Dong Nai's socio-economic development strategy.

With outstanding advantages in location and infrastructure, the locality is steadily preparing to officially become Trang Bom ward in the near future.

Currently, Trang Bom covers a natural area of 68.77 square kilometers and has a population of 95,502, making it one of the largest and most densely populated communes in Dong Nai.

Located in a strategic central position, Trang Bom commune is an important point of convergence in the Southern Key Economic Region. The locality has a transport system that includes National Highway 1A and the North-South railway, and is close to the Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, allowing convenient links with Ho Chi Minh City and the Long Thanh airport area, while also making it a transshipment, logistics, and warehousing center serving industrial production.

 
 

A prominent feature of Trang Bom commune is its rapid urbanization, with its economic structure shifting positively toward industry and services. At present, industry-construction and trade-services account for 93.96%. Large industrial parks such as Giang Dien and Bau Xeo are located in the area, attracting thousands of workers and experts to live and work there.

Economic development has brought residents prosperous living conditions. The average income in the commune reached 94 million VND per person in 2025, surpassing the provincial average. The multidimensional poverty rate fell to 0.07%, reflecting the effectiveness of social welfare policies and the locality's sustainable development.

Trang Bom's social infrastructure system has been systematically developed in line with urban standards. One hundred percent of households have access to the national power grid, and the rate of permanent housing has reached full coverage. The entire commune has 27 schools, including prestigious training institutions such as the Vietnam National University of Forestry in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City College of Technology, meeting demand for education and the training of high-quality human resources.

The spiritual life of the people is well cared for, with 100% of hamlets and neighborhoods having cultural houses. Trang Bom is also a place where diverse religions and ethnic groups converge, with 43.52% of the population following religions such as Catholicism and Buddhism, alongside communities of Hoa, Nung, Tay, and Muong ethnic groups, creating a colorful and united cultural landscape.

In the future orientation, the establishment of Trang Bom ward is an objective requirement to improve management efficiency and unleash potential. The locality is focusing on meeting criteria for environmental protection, clean water, and digital transformation, aiming to build a green, civilized, modern, and sustainable urban area.
