Vibrant Mid-Autumn Festival activities

To demonstrate care, concern, and support for children from poor and near-poor households, orphans, children with disabilities, and children of workers and laborers facing difficult circumstances during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the Dong Nai City Youth Union, the City Vietnam Youth Federation, the City Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HYPO) Council and various units and localities have co-organized a series of Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations for children.

Specifically, the Dong Nai City Youth Union, the City Vietnam Youth Federation, and the City HYPO Council co-organized Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations for children at various locations, including the Dong Nai City Center for Social Work and Child Protection Fund in Tam Hiep Ward, An Vu Shelter in Dong Tam Commune, and the communes of Nghia Trung, Bu Gia Map, Xuan Hoa, Dak Lua, Ta Lai, Hung Phuoc, La Nga, Nam Cat Tien, Thien Hung, Song Ray, Dak Nhau, and Xuan Phu, as well as Tri An Ward and the Youth and Children's Cultural House (Facility 1 and Facility 2).

During the program, children took part in activities including lantern processions, lion and dragon dance performances, musical performances, skits and interactions with "Ms. Hang" (the Moon Lady) and Uncle Cuoi, moonlit feasts, interactive games, trivia contests with prizes, and lantern-making competitions. In addition, the Dong Nai City Youth Union, the City Vietnam Youth Federation, the City HYPO Council coordinated with local authorities and units to present hundreds of gifts, including mooncakes, milk, and lanterns, to the children. In particular, localities such as Dak Lua, Bu Gia Map, Ta Lai, and Dak Nhau each received between 600 and 1,000 gift sets from the Dong Nai City Youth Union, the Dong Nai City chapter of the Vietnam Youth Federation, and the Dong Nai City Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation.

These activities not only brought joy to children during the Mid-Autumn Festival but also demonstrated the care shown by authorities at all levels, sectors, organizations, and mass organizations for the care, education, and protection of children.

In addition to city-level activities, under the direction of the Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards, local Youth Union chapters organized Mid-Autumn moonlit festivals featuring a variety of joyful activities.

On the evening of September 20, at Ha Huy Giap Primary School in Trang Dai Ward, the Trang Dai Ward Youth Union organized the 2026 Mid-Autumn Moonlit Festival. Children in the ward enjoyed musical performances and skits featuring "Ms. Hang" and Uncle Cuoi and participated in trivia contests with prizes. The program also included a lantern-design contest themed “Trang Dai Children – Proudly Marching Under the Party Flag.” The competition attracted 18 lantern entries from six schools in the ward. On this occasion, the Ward Youth Union also presented 450 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to the children.

Previously, the Tran Bien Ward Youth Union also organized the 2026 Mid-Autumn Moonlit Festival at the Ward Party Committee's hall. During the program, the Ward Youth Union presented gifts to the children of officials from Youth Unions, Youth Federations, and HYPOs; children in difficult circumstances; and children in Quyet Thang Quarter.

As part of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration organized by the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cam My Commune on September 19, children not only watched lion dances, enjoyed musical performances, and received gifts but also participated in physical games. On this occasion, the Organizing Board raised funds to donate 32 bicycles to children in difficult circumstances.
