These are among the aspirations recorded by Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television following the locality’s successful ceremony announcing the National Assembly’s resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City. The resolution took effect on April 30, 2026.

Ho Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of Nhon Trach ward Fatherland Front Committee: Dong Nai will become a model city in the future

Dong Nai’s elevation to city status is vivid proof of the locality’s strong and sustained development over many years. At the same time, it marks the beginning of a new development chapter, reinforcing Dong Nai’s position as a dynamic and modern growth center in the region and paving the way toward becoming a model city in the future.

To turn this vision into reality, Dong Nai needs to carry out several key tasks in a coordinated manner. Priority should be given to investing in modern, well-integrated transport and urban infrastructure capable of supporting long-term development needs to meet long-term development demands.

At the same time, economic growth must go hand in hand with environmental protection in pursuit of sustainable development. Social welfare policies should also remain a priority so that all citizens can benefit from development achievements and no one is left behind. With the combined efforts of authorities, businesses and residents, I believe Dong Nai City will continue to grow strongly and emerge as a model urban center in the years ahead.

Huynh Thanh Dat, Chairman of Binh An commune Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee: A place where young people can build careers and older residents can settle down

Not only myself but most residents across Dong Nai City are also delighted and proud that the locality has become the country’s seventh city. This is a major milestone, opening a new chapter for our hometown and creating greater opportunities for stronger investment in infrastructure, services and social welfare policies.

To build Dong Nai into a civilized, modern and livable city, the locality should accelerate transport infrastructure development, particularly the expansion of routes that frequently experience congestion, as well as roads linking the city center, Long Thanh Airport and neighboring urban areas.

A synchronized transport network would boost trade and make travel, living, and working conditions more convenient for residents.

I hope Dong Nai will become not only a modern city but also a compassionate one, creating greater opportunities for young people to study, work and start businesses, while remaining a livable place where older generations can enjoy a peaceful and fulfilling life.

Senior Lieutenant Tong Van Thoa, Phuoc Binh ward’s police officer: New requirements for maintaining public security and order

Dong Nai’s transformation into a city is a great honor and source of pride for every police officer and soldier. It is not only an important milestone in socio-economic development and urbanization but also brings new demands for maintaining political security, public order and social safety across the city.

We hope the city administration will continue paying attention to synchronized investment in facilities, equipment, technological infrastructure and policy support for grassroots police forces to meet task requirements in the new context.

Meanwhile, authorities should strengthen effective public mobilization models and “All People Protect National Security” movement, fostering closer coordination among government agencies, police forces and local communities in maintaining security and social order.

Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Vice Chairman of Thong Nhat commune Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the commune Youth Union: Joining hands to build a city worthy of its potential

As a young person, I am extremely excited and proud that Dong Nai has officially become a city.

What encourages me most is seeing expanding opportunities for young people to study and work right in their hometown. However, for the city to develop in line with its potential, I hope authorities will pay closer attention to practical issues closely linked to daily life, particularly employment and community spaces.

Continued support for youth startup loans and the creation of more healthy cultural and sports venues would provide young people with meaningful spaces for development after working hours.

For its part, the commune Youth Union will launch practical initiatives, including volunteer teams helping elderly residents use smartphones for administrative procedures, cleaning illegal dumping sites and supporting disadvantaged households, coordinating with authorities to improve people’s living standards.

Tran Ngoc Bich, resident of Binh An commune: More cultural and recreational spaces are needed

I strongly hope Dong Nai City will develop in a civilized and modern direction while preserving a friendly and people-centered living environment.

As urbanization accelerates, what residents want most is a comprehensive improvement in quality of life.

Dong Nai City needs greater investment in cultural infrastructure such as cultural centers, theaters, parks, community centers, sports facilities and entertainment areas.

More cultural venues, creative hubs and youth spaces would give young people healthier environments to learn, connect and develop themselves., helping them stay away from social evils and use their time more productively.

I also hope the city will organize more cultural and artistic events, innovation and startup competitions, life-skills programs and talent contests to create broader opportunities for young people to develop themselves.

In addition, more green spaces and community areas should be developed to provide residents with places to relax after work. A modern city should not only prosper economically but also offer a richer cultural and community life for its residents.

Tran Thi Huyen Huyen, resident of Tran Bien ward: New opportunities for business

Dong Nai’s elevation to city status is not only a source of pride for local residents but also opens up new opportunities for business development.

As urban development accelerates, transport infrastructure becomes more synchronized, and industrial, commercial and service sectors expand, customer flows are expected to increase, creating more favorable conditions for business activities.

I hope people’s living standards will continue improving and that the business environment will become more civilized and modern. Businesses need easier access to capital, stable business premises and better digital transformation support to adapt to new business trends. If these conditions are met, not only large enterprises but also small traders and household businesses will have greater opportunities for sustainable growth.

More transparent, clear and equitable tax policies and business procedures would also help residents and businesses operate with greater confidence and contribute to building a stronger and more prosperous Dong Nai City.
