Venerable, Dr. Thich Dat Ma Toan Hanh, Vice Head of the Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board: Expectations for a land of prosperity and harmony

I hope Dong Nai City will have more favorable conditions for more sustainable and coordinated development in infrastructure, urban areas, industry, services and logistics, thereby fully tapping into its existing advantages. More importantly, such development must move in the right direction, remain harmonious and bring practical benefits to local residents.
According to Buddhist teachings, all achievements are truly meaningful only when they bring peace and happiness to people. Therefore, economic growth should go hand in hand with improving quality of life so that residents can enjoy greater stability, convenience and well-being.
I also hope Dong Nai will continue affirming its role as an important growth pole of the Southeastern region and the country while preserving cultural, ethical, spiritual and religious values. A locality should not only prosper materially but also nurture harmony in spiritual life.
I believe that when religion and social life move forward together, positive values will continue to spread, contributing to building a sustainable, civilized and compassionate Dong Nai.
Ha Van Phuc, psychologist and Head of the Dong Nai Life Skills Club: Urban development should go hand in hand with spiritual well-being

Dong Nai becoming a city is a shared joy and a source of pride for local residents because it reflects strong progress in the economy, infrastructure and quality of life. However, I believe rapid urbanization also brings new pressures on people’s mental well-being, particularly among young people, students and workers.
In my view, the more society develops and the faster life becomes, the easier it is for people to experience stress, emotional imbalance and psychological pressure. Problems such as stress, depression, academic pressure, work pressure and weakened family connections are becoming increasingly common in modern urban environments.
Therefore, alongside socio-economic development, Dong Nai City should pay greater attention to psychological well-being and mental health care for residents. In particular, school psychological counselling needs to be improved in both quality and professionalism. I hope schools will have more professionally trained psychological counselors, creating environments where students can share concerns, receive guidance and develop positive life skills. When mental well-being receives proper attention, urban development can truly become sustainable and humane.
Le Huu Mai, Director of Truong Thanh Pottery One Member Co., Ltd. in Bien Hoa ward: Preserving and promoting traditional pottery craft

In my opinion, a developed urban area requires not only modern infrastructure but also the preservation and promotion of distinctive cultural values that define the locality’s identity, including Bien Hoa pottery. Bien Hoa pottery has long been known for its sophistication and uniqueness. However, amid growing competition from modern industrial products, the traditional pottery industry is facing the risk of decline as the number of artisans decreases and market consumption becomes more difficult.
I hope Dong Nai City will pay greater attention to preserving and developing traditional pottery craft through trade promotion programs, product branding and support for production facilities in upgrading technology and product designs.
In particular, I hope the pottery industry will develop in connection with experiential tourism, forming tourist attractions and craft villages where domestic and international visitors can learn about traditional handmade pottery production.
At the same time, Bien Hoa pottery products should further expand into international markets, elevating the traditional pottery brand of Dong Nai City in export markets.
Nguyen Thi Le from Trang Bom ward: Accompanying the locality’s development process

The upgrading of Trang Bom into a ward and the official establishment of Dong Nai City is a great joy for me and many fellow residents. The event opens expectations for a new phase of more modern and civilized development.
As someone who has come to live and work in Dong Nai, I am delighted to witness this area becoming increasingly developed. With Dong Nai becoming a city, residents naturally hope their quality of life will improve as well. This includes wider and more coordinated roads as well as greater investment in infrastructure, education and healthcare to better serve local residents.
In addition, I hope authorities at all levels will continue promoting administrative reform and simplifying procedures so that residents can complete administrative work with state agencies more conveniently.
For households whose land is recovered for development projects, I hope compensation, support and resettlement policies will be implemented promptly and fairly to ensure residents’ lawful rights and interests. At the same time, authorities should pay attention to job creation and vocational transition support so residents can stabilize their livelihoods.
Vu Thi Xuyen from Long Hung ward: Dong Nai is a livable city

As a Party member who has lived and worked in Dong Nai for years, I feel deeply emotional and proud to see my hometown continuously developing and officially becoming a city.
Over the years, I have witnessed roads being expanded, new urban areas emerging and schools, hospitals and infrastructure becoming increasingly modern.
Today, Dong Nai has taken on a new look, dynamic and modern while still preserving the warmth and kindness of local people. Becoming a city is not only an important development milestone but also opens up more opportunities in employment, economy, education and quality of life for residents.
I hope that in the future, Dong Nai will continue developing in a sustainable, greener and cleaner direction, with more convenient transportation while preserving its cultural values and human warmth. Dong Nai will always remain a livable and proud place.
Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huynh, worker at Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company in Thong Nhat commune: Continued attention needed for workers’ lives
![]() |
As a worker who has been attached to Dong Nai for many years, I feel very happy to see the locality becoming increasingly developed and evolving into a modern urban center. In the past, workers like us faced many difficulties, transportation was inconvenient and services and amenities were still limited. However, in recent years, I have seen remarkable changes in Dong Nai: roads are wider, industrial parks are more developed and more housing areas, hospitals and schools have been built, helping improve workers’ living conditions.
What makes me happiest is that employment opportunities are becoming more stable. Workers now have more job choices and living standards are gradually improving. The city’s development not only brings a new appearance but also gives us greater hope for a stable future and peace of mind to continue working.
I hope Dong Nai City will continue paying greater attention to workers’ lives by providing more affordable housing, improving the living environment and introducing additional support policies so workers can feel secure in staying long term.
