A joyful, memorable National Day holiday in Dong Nai

During the five-day National Day holiday, Dong Nai City hosted a wide range of vibrant cultural, artistic, and sporting activities, creating a festive atmosphere and meeting the recreational and entertainment needs of residents and visitors.

A major highlight was an artistic program and a fireworks display featuring both high- and low-altitude fireworks to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945–2026) and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945–2026). The event took place on the evening of September 2 on the Dong Nai riverside road in Tran Bien Ward and in Dai Phuoc Commune.

Along the Dong Nai riverside road, the artistic program, themed "Vietnam Shines Bright",  brought together numerous artists and performers from Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City for 10 musical and dance performances. The program helped recreate the nation’s proud historical milestones while celebrating love for the homeland, the country, its people, and Dong Nai. In Dai Phuoc Commune, the artistic program Dai Phuoc – Proudly Lighting the Way to a Bright Future was held at the SwanBay eco-urban area.

Particularly anticipated was the fireworks display, featuring 500 high-altitude fireworks and 100 low-altitude fireworks, offering residents and visitors spectacular moments on National Day.

During the holiday, the Dong Nai Art Theater also joined forces with the Tam Hiep Ward People’s Committee to organize the artistic program Proud of My Homeland on the evening of September 1.

Bringing cultural activities closer to local communities, the Dong Nai Cultural and Cinema Center is holding a film week and a painting and photography exhibition, themed "Historical Imprints – Proud Achievements," at its Facility 2 in Binh Phuoc Ward from August 27 to September 5. The center also staged the artistic program The Nation – Faith and Aspiration at Duong Tu Giang Park in Tam Hiep Ward on the evening of August 28.

Mobile cinema teams from the Dong Nai Cultural and Cinema Center conducted 63 screenings for residents in remote and isolated areas, ethnic minority communities, and border areas. Many Vietnamese feature films, documentaries, and animated films were screened, including Memories of Nam Xuan, Red Rain, 915, Thau Chin in Siam, Street Battle, The Composer of the National Anthem, Illusion, and Colors of the Mountains.

Sporting activities were also held with great enthusiasm. On August 30, the Dong Nai City Sports Training and Competition Center hosted the Moving Forward with Vietnam 2026 program, attracting large numbers of local residents.

The cultural, artistic, and sporting activities were organized in a practical, safe, and healthy manner, helping create a sense of enthusiasm among all segments of the population and strengthening community bonds. Through these activities, confidence, aspirations, and motivation were further fostered among the Party organization, authorities, and people of Dong Nai City to successfully achieve the goals and tasks set for the 2025–2030 term.
