Vibrant workers' cultural festival held in Dong Nai

Organized by the Dong Nai City Labor Federation, the 2026 Dong Nai Workers' Cultural Festival took place over the weekend, drawing thousands of workers into an energetic and celebratory atmosphere.

At the event, workers engaged in a variety of cultural, recreational, and shopping activities featuring price-stabilized goods. The program provided a beneficial recreational space after working hours while contributing to the material and spiritual welfare of the local workforce.

Meaningful activities

From early morning, the main stage area at the Bien Hoa Industrial Zone Multi-Purpose Sports Arena (Tran Bien Ward) buzzed with artistic performances. A highlight was the Workers' Modern Dance Festival, featuring 14 teams from grassroots trade unions that energized the crowd with youthful, dynamic routines, lighting, music, and choreography. Continuous cheering from the audience created a festival filled with energy and color.

Thieu Quoc Viet, a worker at Dona Pacific Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Binh Minh Commune), shared that members of his dance team utilized after-work hours to practice and deliver engaging, fresh performances for the audience. "This is truly a beneficial space that enables union members and workers to pursue their passions while providing physical exercise, artistic development, and an enhanced spiritual life within the enterprise," Viet added.

According to the judging panel, despite being direct production workers, the dance teams presented modern, youthful routines expertly integrated with songs that praised the homeland, national pride, and traditional Vietnamese melodies. The festival provided an opportunity for union members to exchange and showcase their talents, while promoting cultural movements and building a healthy workplace environment.

Alongside artistic performances, the welfare booth area attracted large crowds to browse and shop. Essential commodities, food items, and household goods were sold at preferential prices to help workers reduce living costs. Promotional programs, gift giveaways, and lucky draws added to the festive atmosphere.

Notably, the Dong Nai City Labor Federation presented 4,500 shopping vouchers to workers in difficult circumstances. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a worker at TOKIN Electronics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (Long Binh Industrial Park), shared: "The items for sale at the festival are practical daily necessities offered at considerable discounts compared to retail markets, making them very suitable for workers' incomes. I took the opportunity to purchase items for my family, saving money while remaining confident in the clear origin of the products."

Beyond a weekend recreational event...

A central highlight of the festival was the launch ceremony for the online competition entitled “Understanding the Resolutions of the Party Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, and Trade Union Congresses at All Levels in 2026” for local union members and workers. The event offers an opportunity for workers to study the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, key national achievements across historical congresses, and strategic development orientations for the new era.

According to Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the City Labor Federation, the competition aims to broadly disseminate the significance of the Party Congress and the role of the Vietnam Trade Union. This effort seeks to enhance political awareness, foster trust, and highlight union members' responsibility for national development. The Dong Nai City Labor Federation expects the competition to attract widespread participation and encourage the effective implementation of Party policies and guidelines.

During the festival, the federation also officially launched its official information portal, marking another milestone in the trade union’s digital transformation. The new portal is expected to improve administrative efficiency while serving as an official channel for disseminating Party guidelines, State policies and laws, and Trade Union activities to union members and workers.

The portal will also strengthen communication between the Trade Union and workers, provide easier access to welfare programs, and enable workers to share their concerns and aspirations. It is expected to modernize trade union operations and improve service quality.

The Workers’ Cultural Festival not only enriches the spiritual life of union members but also demonstrates the Trade Union’s continued commitment to accompanying workers. In the coming years, we will continue to innovate and diversify welfare programs, creating more meaningful activities that help build a stronger workforce capable of meeting the demands of future development.

Additionally, the festival commended 130 outstanding grassroots Trade Union officials and direct production workers. This recognition honors individuals who have made significant contributions to labor, production, and Trade Union activities, while fostering patriotic emulation, creativity, and drive across the workforce, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of enterprises and the local economy.
