Dong Nai wins 11 medals at 2026 National Youth, Junior and Children's Table Tennis Championships

The Dong Nai youth table tennis team secured a total of 11 medals, including two gold medals, at the 2026 National Youth, Junior and Children's Table Tennis Championships, which concluded in Da Nang City.

The tournament, jointly organized by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation, concluded at the Tien Son Sports Palace.

Dong Nai's young paddlers collected two gold medals, two silver medals, and seven bronze medals. Dong Nai's two gold medals came in: Dinh Nam Anh (Dong Nai) and Lam Nguyen Phuc An (Tay Ninh) in the mixed doubles event for the 12–13 age group, and Le Hoang Linh Dan (Dong Nai) and Hoang Tra My (People's Public Security T&T) in the girls' doubles event for the 14–15 age group. In addition to her doubles title, Le Hoang Linh Dan earned a silver medal in the girls' singles event (14–15 age group). Dong Nai's other silver medal came in the women's doubles event (20–21 age group), won by Ngo Thi Ngan and Do Thi Cuc.

Following their strong performances, 16 young athletes from Dong Nai qualified for the National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Youth, Junior and Children's Players, to be held in Ninh Binh Province.

In the overall team standings, People's Public Security T&T topped the medal table with 17 gold, six silver, and 11 bronze medals. Hai Phong finished second with seven gold, seven silver, and 15 bronze medals, while Ho Chi Minh City placed third with six gold, three silver, and seven bronze medals.

The 2026 National Youth, Junior and Children's Table Tennis Championships took place from July 21 to 31 at Tien Son Sports Palace in Da Nang. The tournament brought together more than 660 athletes from 30 organizations and localities nationwide, who competed in 50 team, singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles events across eight age groups: nine and under, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-21, and 22-23.
