Dong Nai claims double championship at 2026 National Yoga Competitions

Athletes from the Dong Nai City Sports Training and Competition Center delivered an outstanding performance, securing first place overall at the 2026 National Yoga Clubs Championship, the 5th National Youth Yoga Championship and the 8th National Youth and Children’s Yoga Championship, completing a remarkable double victory at this year's national event.

After three days of competition, the 2026 National Yoga Clubs Championship, the 5th National Youth Yoga Championship, and the 8th National Children and Junior Yoga Championship successfully concluded in Sam Son Ward, Thanh Hoa Province. The tournaments were organized by the Vietnam Yoga Federation in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This year's competitions brought together nearly 200 athletes from 16 leading yoga clubs nationwide, who competed in two disciplines: Yoga Asana (posture) and Artistic Yoga across multiple age groups.

At the National Yoga Clubs Championship and the 5th National Youth Yoga Championship, the Dong Nai City Sports Training and Competition Center finished first overall with 27 points, earning a total of two gold medals, four silver medals and four bronze medals. The Phuong Bich Sports Center placed second with 22 points, winning four gold, one silver and two bronze medals, while the Thanh Hoa Yoga Federation finished third with 17 points, collecting two gold and two silver medals.

Meanwhile, at the 8th National Children and Junior Yoga Championship, Dong Nai athletes continued to deliver impressive performances and won the overall first prize with 28 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 14 bronze medals. Khanh Hoa finished second with nine gold medals, while Bac Ninh 1 placed third with eight gold medals, 17 silver medals and two bronze medals.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the organizing board presented medals, championship flags and team trophies to athletes and delegations that achieved outstanding performances.
