On the morning of June 28, the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST), in coordination with the Dong Nai Yoga Federation, organized the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026. The event marked the International Day of Yoga (June 21) and commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam–India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2016–2026).

Attendees included Tushar Garg, Vice Consul at the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Director of the DCST; leaders of departments, sectors, and local authorities; and more than 800 yoga instructors, athletes, and members from 100 clubs inside and outside the city.

Speaking at the event, Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Director of the DCST, said that in recent years, the yoga movement in Dong Nai has developed strongly, attracting a large number of participants of all ages. With the theme "Yoga – Healthy Living Through the Years," this year's International Day of Yoga continues to promote a healthy and positive lifestyle. It also recognizes the contributions of instructors and clubs to the development of the yoga movement, contributing to the effective implementation of the campaign “All People Exercise Following the Example of Great Uncle Ho.”

Immediately after the opening ceremony, yoga experts from India, together with the Dong Nai Yoga Federation and more than 800 members and athletes, performed a mass demonstration under the Common Yoga Protocol, featuring routines such as Sun Salutation, Flow Yoga, and Artistic Yoga. The event also drew many children and older adults, creating a lively and connected atmosphere that spread the spirit of physical training for better health throughout the community.

This was the seventh time Dong Nai had organized a mass performance to celebrate the International Day of Yoga. Through the event, the organizers aim to continue promoting cultural and sports exchanges between the people of Dong Nai and India, contributing to further deepening the Vietnam–India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries.
