To implement Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU issued by the City Party Committee (CPC) Executive Board launching the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed "Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthroughs for a civilized and modern Dong Nai," the Party Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai City has identified a key mission that is to awaken pride in Dong Nai, strengthen confidence in the Party's leadership, and inspire a stronger sense of responsibility, pioneering spirit and exemplary conduct among Party Committees, officials and Party members throughout the Front system.

As the core political organization providing overall leadership across all areas of work, Dong Nai VFF’s Party Committee has called on its affiliated Party cells, every official and Party member to fully embrace the spirit of "Pride in Dong Nai – the spirit of Southern Vietnam," while strengthening the responsibility and leadership role of Party Committees officials and Party members, fostering national unity, and contributing to the development of a civilized and modern Dong Nai.

Emulation as a driver of development

According to Ha Anh Dung, Deputy Party Secretary and Standing Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai VFF, the city is entering a new stage of development marked by unprecedented opportunities, but also by higher expectations for leadership capacity, governance, policy implementation and public service.

He said the special emulation campaign should become more than a slogan for a temporary emulation drive; it should evolve into a lasting culture of action embraced by the entire political system and society.

The Dong Nai VFF’s Standing Committee has called on union members, mass organization members, residents, businesses, religious institutions, community leaders, intellectuals, artists, the armed forces and Front officials at all levels to continue promoting the tradition of national unity. Every individual is encouraged to contribute an initiative, every organization a meaningful project, every residential community an effective model, and every official a responsible action to help build a civilized, modern and happy Dong Nai.

Nguyen Thi Hang Nga, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Deputy Head of the Social Affairs Division under the Dong Nai VFF, said the municipal VFF’s Party Cell will continue directing its officials, Party members and civil servants to fulfill their assigned political responsibilities while advising the municipal VFF‘s Standing Committee on coordinating with Front organizations at all levels to strengthen national solidarity in support of the city's development.

Key priorities include renewing public communication and community engagement, enhancing the role of member organizations, respected community figures and religious leaders, closely monitoring public sentiment, particularly in areas affected by major infrastructure projects or rapid urbanization, and improving the quality of social supervision and policy consultation. It will also continue monitoring how recommendations made through supervision and public consultation are implemented.

Mobilizing the role of officials, Party members and workers

Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai City Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Tuyet said Dong Nai's development and future breakthroughs will depend heavily on the dedication, creativity and hard work of its workforce.

Dong Nai has one of Vietnam's largest labor forces. The municipal Labour Federation oversees nearly 2,300 grassroots trade unions representing more than 750,000 union members working across over 50 industrial parks and clusters, while the total workforce in businesses and organizations across  industrial parks and clusters exceeds 1.4 million people.

In recent years, trade unions have launched a wide range of emulation movements aimed at fulfilling political tasks and supporting the socio-economic development goals of industries, localities, agencies, enterprises and the city as a whole.

To further encourage innovation among officials, Party members, union members and workers, trade unions will continue promoting the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on emulation and commendation, helping employees recognize that emulation is not only a responsibility but also a driving force for personal development, higher productivity and broader contributions to the growth of enterprises and the city.

Building on its proud traditions, Dong Nai is moving confidently into a new stage of development. Guided by a deep sense of pride in their hometown, officials, Party members and residents continue to embrace innovation, responsibility and creativity, contributing to the development of a more civilized, modern and sustainable city.

Trade unions will also work with employers to establish mechanisms that encourage workers to propose innovations, technical improvements and management solutions.

Outstanding initiatives generating significant socio-economic benefits will receive timely recognition and appropriate rewards, while exemplary individuals and good deeds will continue to be honored to inspire wider participation in emulation movements.

Alongside promoting labor productivity and innovation, the city also places special emphasis on harnessing the wisdom of scientists and technology professionals to accelerate innovation-driven development.

Tran Hong Quyet, member of the Party Cell of the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations, noted that the province is home to a large community of intellectuals working across many sectors, particularly within the political system and the city's long-established industrial parks.

As Dong Nai is carrying out its special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, the role of intellectuals will become even more important in generating breakthrough solutions for urban governance, the digital economy, digital society and digital citizenship, ultimately improving people's quality of life.

According to the Party Cell of the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations, Party committees and local authorities should create more opportunities for experts and scientists to participate in policymaking and urban development planning. The city should continue refining mechanisms to attract and retain talent, encourage scientific research and technology transfer, and enable specialists to address practical local challenges.

Where  necessary, the city should proactively introduce special mechanisms to attract talents in emerging fields of science and technology while establishing a comprehensive database of experts and a network connecting intellectuals both within and beyond Dong Nai to better mobilize knowledge resources for socio-economic development.

The associations also called for strengthening the advisory and social oversight role of intellectuals while fostering a stronger innovation and digital transformation ecosystem.

Officials and Party members working in science and technology should continue setting an example by embracing the spirit of daring to think, daring to act, daring to innovate and daring to take responsibility for the common good. By continuously improving their professional expertise, pursuing innovation and proposing practical solutions, they can make meaningful contributions to the success of Dong Nai's special emulation campaign and its long-term development goals.
