DNNRTV wins first prize at Dong Nai Moments 2026 photo contest

On the morning of June 12, at Bien Hung Park, the Tran Bien Ward General Services Center, in coordination with the Dong Nai Resident Journalists Association, organized a photo exhibition and summarized and awarded prizes for the 1st Dong Nai Moments 2026 Press Photo Contest.

Attending the exhibition were: Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Vo Tan Duc; Member of the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward Ho Van Nam; City Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan; Chairman of the Dong Nai City Journalists Association, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television (DNNRTV) Tran Nam Dong; representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, and localities; reporters from press agencies inside and outside the city.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Director of Tran Bien Ward General Services Center, Tran Khac Thiet, emphasized that Dong Nai is one of the localities with a vibrant journalistic environment. In the general development process of Dong Nai, the achievements the city has made have been and continue to be spreading to people and domestic and international tourists, with the active contribution of press agencies, including reporters and journalists from local and central agencies based in the locality.

From June 1 to June 8, the Organizing Committee received 119 entries from resident correspondents, reporters from Dong Nai press agencies, and Tran Bien ward. The works cover a wide range of fields, from Politics, economy, and social life to new rural construction, cultural beauty, working life, national defense and security, ethnic minority communities, and border areas of Dong Nai City. Many works captured moments from the construction of Long Thanh Airport and the series of events leading up to the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai city.

According to the Organizing Committee, numerous works demonstrated strong journalistic insight, effective storytelling, and powerful emotional impact while portraying Dong Nai as a dynamic, hospitable, and rapidly developing locality. Many photos not only reflect the vivid reality of social life but also spread beautiful images of the dynamic, generous, simple, and affectionate land of Dong Nai, which is gradually breaking through and developing strongly in the new era, including Tran Bien ward, which is considered the "heart" of the beloved Dong Nai city.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 12 prizes to authors with excellent works, including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and six consolation prizes. The first prize went to journalist Cong Nghia of DNNRTV for the work Historic Moments of Dong Nai.

The two second prizes went to journalist Nhat Son, Nhan Dan Newspaper, for the work The Brocade Colors of the S'tieng People, and to journalist Phuoc Tuan, Dan Tri Newspaper, for the work Sunrise over Long Thanh Airport.

The three third prizes went to journalist Phuoc Tuan, VnExpress online newspaper, with the work "Preserving the Moment Dong Nai Becomes a City"; journalist Le Xuan, Vietnam News Agency, with the work "Light from These Hands"; and journalist Hoang Anh, VietNamNet Newspaper, with the work "The Green Silk Ribbon of Tri An Lake".

Six consolation prizes were awarded to journalists: Nguyen Nham, Construction Newspaper with the work "The Extradosed Phuoc An Cable-Stayed Bridge with the Longest Main Span in Southeast Asia Reaches Out Over the Thi Vai River"; Thuy Anh, Tran Bien Ward General Services Center with the work "Tran Bien Ward Leaders Urge Key Projects"; My Ny, DNNRTV with the work "The Beauty of Time"; Duong Hinh, Thanh Nien Newspaper with the work "Passing on the Fire"; A Loc, Tuoi Tre Newspaper with the work "Hundreds of Hectares of Green Prairie in the Heart of Tri An Lake - the Largest Hydropower Lake in the South"; Thuy Tien, DNNRTV with the work "Early Morning Mist in Ta Lai".

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded gifts to 12 authors, all journalists, for excellent works that reached the final round of the competition.

The exhibition is an activity to celebrate the 101st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and to welcome the historic event of Dong Nai becoming the 7th city in the country. The exhibition is displayed in the open space of Bien Hung Park, serving locals and tourists who want to visit and learn about the land and people of Dong Nai until June 30.
