Over 1,000 women perform mass dance to celebrate Dong Nai City establishment

More than 1,000 female members from folk dance and sports clubs at grassroots and affiliated levels under the Dong Nai City Gymnastics Federation joined a large-scale mass dance performance, forming the words “Dong Nai City” to celebrate the city’s establishment.

On the morning of May 3, at Duong Tu Giang Park, the Tam Hiep ward People’s Committee, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Women’s Union and Gymnastics Federation of Dong Nai City, organized a mass sports folk dance program. The event celebrated the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2026), President Ho Chi Minh’s 136th birth anniversary (May 19, 1890 – 2026), and the establishment of Dong Nai City.

The program attracted more than 1,000 women from various clubs and teams, who delivered synchronized performances in traditional ao dai and conical hats, creating a lively and cohesive atmosphere.

Performances were set to patriotic songs such as Viet tiep cau chuyen hoa binh (Continuing the story of peace), Tu hao tiep buoc tuong lai (Proud to carry the future forward), and “Dong Nai City – Rising with Aspiration.” The event was further energized by singer Nguyen Phi Hung, who performed Mot vong Viet Nam (Around Vietnam) and “Viet Nam oi”.

Speaking at the event, Bui Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City Women’s Union, said the program helped promote solidarity and encouraged women to actively participate in community movements, contributing to local development, adding that it formed part of activities marking major national holidays and the establishment of Dong Nai City, reflecting confidence in the locality’s future growth.

A highlight of the program was the large-scale formation spelling out “Dong Nai City,” performed by more than 1,000 participants, set to the song “Dong Nai City – Rising with Aspiration.”

On the occasion, the organizing committee presented 50 gift packages to disadvantaged families in Tam Hiep ward, contributing to the principle of leaving no one behind in the city’s new development journey.

Beyond a celebratory performance, the program highlighted strong community solidarity and public confidence among residents of Tam Hiep ward, marking the establishment of Dong Nai City.
