The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien, Head of the steering board for the contest, and Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Hoa Hiep.
Lasting through November 11, the event will present extracts from popular stage works by young artists from about 20 professional theatres and troupes throughout the country. Each performance will last 20-25 minutes.
The contest, which is organized every four years, aims to give young actors an opportunity to exchange performing experiences and to encourage others. It is also an opportunity to introduce audiences to these traditional art forms and foster young acting talents.
The event will be opened to audience in Dong Nai and other provinces for free at Dong Nai Conference and Event Organization Center, No1 Nguyen Ai Quoc Road, Bien Hoa city.
