In October 2026, Nhon Trach Ward completed the handover of all cleared land for the section of the project passing through its administrative area. Previously, in August 2026, Long Thanh Ward had completed the handover of all land required for the section passing through its area.

The Road 25B Upgrade Project, extending from the center of Nhon Trach Ward to National Highway 51, is more than 9 kilometers long and passes through Nhon Trach and Long Thanh wards. To implement the project, the authorities had to acquire land and carry out compensation and site clearance for nearly 40 hectares, including approximately 7.6 hectares in Long Thanh Ward and more than 31 hectares in Nhon Trach Ward.

Construction work across the entire project has now reached approximately 70% of the signed contract value. The contractor has completed the right-hand section of the main route and Ba Ky 2 Bridge. Work is underway on drainage systems, parallel roads on both sides of the main route, utility culverts, local access bridges and roads, the lighting system, and Ba Ky 1 Bridge. Construction is being accelerated, with the aim of completing the project and putting it into operation in 2026.

The Road 25B Upgrade Project is particularly important for developing planned transport connections and gradually completing the city's infrastructure network. It will contribute to socioeconomic development in line with the master plan for Nhon Trach New Urban Area. The project is also expected to improve the effectiveness of investments already underway or completed, open up new development space, unlock the potential of land resources, and support the development of a modern, sustainable urban system.

In particular, Road 25B is an important transport link serving Long Thanh International Airport. Under the airport project’s master plan, the T1 and T2 roads will connect the airport with major transport routes in the surrounding region. Road T1 is designed to connect with National Highway 51 and provincial roads 25B and 25C, then link to the Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, both of which are under construction. The route will therefore provide a connection between Long Thanh International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City and provinces in the southwestern region, while helping ease traffic pressure on the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway.
