Transport infrastructure connecting industrial parks (IPs) in Dong Nai is being progressively developed and upgraded, helping ease traffic bottlenecks, improve connectivity and enhance the appeal of the city’s industrial parks to investors.

Dong Nai City currently has 89 industrial parks and economic zones, with a total planned area of nearly 43,400 hectares. Of these, 44 industrial parks are operational, while another 45 are planned for development during the 2021–2030 period.

Easing transport connectivity bottlenecks

The nearly four-kilometer Lo Gach–Nuoc Trong Bridge Road is a vital transport artery connecting National Highway 51 with Long Duc and An Phuoc industrial parks. Every day, the route sees tens of thousands of vehicle trips, including journeys by workers and local residents, as well as trips to transport raw materials, supplies and goods to and from the industrial parks.

Heavy traffic, combined with the road’s severely deteriorated surface, had made the route a major concern for road users.

In July 2026, a project to repair the Lo Gach–Nuoc Trong Bridge Road was launched, with An Phuoc Commune People’s Committee serving as the project owner and a budget of VND 8.3 billion. The contractor repaired damaged sections, patched potholes, resurfaced the road and completed traffic safety infrastructure along the entire route. After approximately two months, the project was completed, enabling the four-lane road to largely meet local travel needs.

According to the city’s People’s Committee, when new industrial parks are developed or existing ones expanded in the coming years, Dong Nai will simultaneously review transport infrastructure needs and capacity to ensure connectivity with National Highways 1 and 51, ring roads, expressways, airports and logistics centers. These efforts will improve connectivity, facilitate manufacturing and freight transportation, and help attract more investment to industrial parks.

Nguyen Thi Huong, a resident of An Phuoc Commune, said that the Lo Gach–Nuoc Trong Bridge Road was previously riddled with potholes and frequently used by heavy trucks transporting goods, raising concerns among local residents. Since the road was repaired, travel has become more convenient and safer.

According to the city’s People’s Committee, the city is implementing a project to upgrade the Lo Gach–Nuoc Trong Bridge Road to improve transport connectivity and facilitate operations at industrial parks. The road is planned to be upgraded to six motor-vehicle lanes and two mixed-traffic lanes, with a 45-meter-wide roadbed. The city’s People’s Committee has directed relevant agencies to expedite the necessary procedures, aiming to begin construction soon and complete the road upgrade in 2027 to ensure connectivity between National Highway 51 and Long Duc and An Phuoc industrial parks.

In the Nhon Trach area, home to numerous industrial parks, the city is also implementing a project to upgrade and widen Road 25B. This key transport route connects National Highway 51 with industrial parks in the area. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026 and is expected to ease transport connectivity bottlenecks affecting industrial parks in Nhon Trach Ward and neighboring areas.

Strengthening connections between industrial parks

According to Ho Van Ha, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee, Dong Nai aims to develop a fully integrated transport infrastructure network linking industrial parks to external transport networks, while ensuring that the pace of industrial park development aligns with the capacity of supporting transport infrastructure.

To achieve this goal, the city is implementing a series of transport projects to improve access to industrial parks. These include Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3; the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway; Provincial Roads 769, 770B and 773; Roads 25B and 25C; Vu Hong Pho Road; Phuoc Binh–Bau Can Road; the inter-port road; the road connecting to Phuoc An Port; and the access road to Ong Keo Industrial Park.

At the same time, transport links serving the Nhon Trach area and industrial parks such as Long Duc, Long Duc 3, Xuan Que–Song Nhan, Bau Can–Tan Hiep, Nhon Trach, Phuoc An and Ong Keo continue to be developed and upgraded.

Once completed, these projects will gradually establish transport corridors linking National Highways 1 and 51 with Long Thanh International Airport and the seaport area.
