In early September 2, Dong Nai Power Company and relevant units successfully energized a four-circuit 110kV transmission line section connecting the Long Thanh–Nhon Trach 5 and Long Thanh–Hyosung lines. The project strengthens the power grid interconnection in the Nhon Trach–Long Thanh area, increasing transmission capacity and improving the reliability of electricity supplies.

The project is located in Nhon Trach Ward, Dong Nai City, with Dong Nai Power Company serving as the investor. Its completion and commissioning help strengthen the electricity supply capacity to meet growing demand for production, business, and daily activities in the area.

The project operates at 110kV and comprises four circuits, including 50 meters of newly built four-circuit transmission line and a 260-meter section of adjusted line. The connection point is the Nhon Trach Industrial Park 220kV Substation, from which the line connects to the existing 110kV Long Thanh–Nhon Trach 5 and Long Thanh–Hyosung transmission lines. The project has a total investment of more than VND15 billion.

The project was developed to meet growing transmission demand and ensure safe, continuous electricity supplies, while reducing power losses, improving voltage quality, and meeting the N-1 reliability criterion. These are key requirements for power-system operation, particularly in areas where electricity demand and load levels are rising rapidly.

The completion and energization of the project are measures to strengthen the 110kV grid interconnection in the Nhon Trach–Long Thanh area, increase transmission capacity, and provide greater flexibility in system operation. The project improves supply reliability and helps ensure a safe and continuous electricity supply for customers, while giving operators greater flexibility in managing the power system.

The commissioning of the four-circuit 110kV transmission line section also strengthens the connection between the Nhon Trach Industrial Park 220kV Substation and existing 110kV transmission lines. This provides the power system with greater flexibility to adjust operating configurations and transfer power between areas as electricity demand changes or when necessary.

The Nhon Trach–Long Thanh area is experiencing rapid industrial and urban development, resulting in steadily rising electricity demand. The completion and commissioning of the project, therefore, help strengthen transmission capacity, meet growing load requirements, and improve the safety and stability of the local power grid.
