Dong Nai, VCCI strengthen cooperation

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut on July 28 received a delegation from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) led by its President Ho Sy Hung. The meeting was also attended by Nguyen Kim Long, Standing Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee, along with representatives of relevant departments and agencies.

At the reception, the VCCI delegation was briefed on Dong Nai's socio-economic development achievements and its strategic priorities for the coming years.

Dong Nai is currently home to the country's fourth-largest economy and one of Vietnam's largest industrial park systems. Over the years, the locality has pursued a selective investment attraction strategy, prioritizing green and modern industrial development. Following its establishment as a city and with major investments being made in transport and urban infrastructure, Dong Nai is pursuing a long-term investment strategy that seeks to strengthen business linkages, enhance the capacity of domestic enterprises and build a more self-reliant economy.

Nguyen Van Ut expressed his hope that, with extensive experience in connecting businesses and representing the interests of the business community, VCCI would further strengthen cooperation with Dong Nai through a wide range of opportunities and activities. He said such cooperation would generate valuable experience and practical insights to support the city's future development. He reaffirmed that the Dong Nai government remains committed to supporting the business community while focusing on solutions to improve local competitiveness.

For his part, Ho Sy Hung, President of VCCI, said the organization stands ready to work closely with localities, including Dong Nai, in attracting investment, improving the business environment and fostering enterprise development. He added that VCCI would work with Dong Nai to organize more business networking activities and thematic events on economic and business issues in the city.
