Dong Nai ranks sixth nationwide in E-Business Index

The Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) released the Vietnam E-commerce Business Index Report 2026 (EBI 2026) at the Vietnam Online Business Forum 2026 (VOBF 2026), held in Ho Chi Minh City on May 29.

The report draws on surveys of thousands of businesses and individuals nationwide, as well as e-commerce data from multiple agencies and organizations. Notably, this is the first edition of the report to assess 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

According to the report, Ho Chi Minh City led the national rankings with 91.1 points, followed by Hanoi with 87.5 points. Da Nang came third with 22.3 points, while Bac Ninh and Hai Phong ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. Dong Nai recorded an e-commerce index score of nearly 17.4 points, ranking sixth nationwide. The average score this year stood at 15.8 points.

This occasion marks the 10th consecutive year Dong Nai has remained among the country’s top 10 performers in the e-commerce index rankings. In recent years, the city's e-commerce market has continued to broaden, supported by a range of action programs and targeted initiatives aimed at advancing the digital economy, including e-commerce development.

The EBI is compiled from three component indicators: human resources and IT infrastructure; business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce transactions; and business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce transactions.
