In Jan-March, retail sales of goods recorded VND42.5 trillion, an increase of nearly 12 percent compared with last year’s figure. Retail turnover of petrol and oil topped over VND7.5 trillion, a year-on-year rise of 53.2 percent.
The sectors recording a positive revenue increase include food and foodstuff (up 21.2 percent) and other fuel (up 20.8 percent).
Meanwhile, revenue from garment and textile, car and education fell 23.6 percent, 29 percent and 12 percent, respectively, compared with the same period last year.
