Exports for the first three months rose 7.1 percent to US$3.3 billion while imports slightly increased 1.5 percent to US$2.95 billion.
The department highlighted some major exports during the period, including footwear, iron and steel, textiles and garments, products from plastics, vehicles and spare parts, etc.
