Petrol prices increase by VND670 per liter

The Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance have decided to increase the retail prices of oil and petrol as of 4:30pm on March 21.

The Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance have decided to increase the retail prices of oil and petrol as of 4:30pm on March 21.

Accordingly, the prices of RON 92 petrol and E5 bio-fuel were raised by VND670 per litre and VND570 per litre to VND14,422 per litre and VND13,891 per litre, respectively.

In the meantime, diesel 0.05S prices were increased by VND293 per litre to VND9,873 per litre; kerosene and mazut remain unchanged.

This is the first increase of the retail price over the past five months and the fifth adjustment this year.

The adjustment was made following the increase of the final price of petrol and oil worldwide as of March 20.

Regarding the petroleum import tax, imported petrol will be taxed at 18.08% instead of 20% as before; meanwhile diesel and mazut will be taxed at 0.6% and 0.03% respectively.
