(ĐN)- In the recent years, Japanese enterprises wish to expand their investment cooperation with Vietnam as the country continues to enjoy strong growth, especially after the recent signing of a number of trade deals.
Accordingly, 64 percent of existing Japanese investors in the country are planning to expand their business this year.
Located in Vietnam’s key southern economic zone, Dong Nai has become an attractive destination for many Japanese investors. More Japanese investments are expected to come to the province.
Presently, Japan is the third largest FDI investor in Dong Nai with 205 projects capitalized at approximately USS$3.7 billion.
Most of them are poured into hi-tech and support industry projects. Japanese investors chose Dong Nai due to favorable investment climate.
General Director of Osaka Fuji Vietnam Yoshiharu Kondo stressed that the company decided to invest in Dong Nai thanks to its infrastructure advantages and streamlined administrative procedures. The company specializes in manufacturing machinery infrastructure and spare parts for the steel plating industry. It will also provide maintenance, repair and manufacture of industrial machinery for enterprises in Vietnam.
The director said that his company would continue to expand production and increase the capacity of the plant in 2016.
Last July, Japanese SMEs Development J.S Company, a joint venture between Tin Nghia Corporation, Japan’s Forval and Dong Nai Container Terminal J.S Co. was established to call for more investment from Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises. Most of the Japanese businesses in Dong Nai had been operating effectively.
