(ĐN)- Over the past years, Xuan Loc’s farmers have expanded their pepper plantation area as market prices rise for their product. The district currently has more than 3,000 hectares of pepper, of which, nearly 1,755 hectares are under harvest, with an estimated annual average yield of 7-8 tonne per ha, doubling from the previous crop.
According to local pepper growers, black pepper is currently sold at VND180,000 a kilogram; the prices guaranteed great profit for farmers in the locality.
