Wooden products bring over US$860 mln trade surplus to Dong Nai

(ĐN) - Dong Nai earned more than US$1.2 billion from wooden product exports in 2015, a year-on-year increase of 17%,  according to the provincial Statistic Department.

 

(ĐN) - Dong Nai earned more than US$1.2 billion from wooden product exports in 2015, a year-on-year increase of 17%,  according to the provincial Statistic Department.

Meanwhile, local companies imported nearly US$337 million of wooden products. Wooden product is one of the biggest export commodities of Dong Nai, and it is also enjoyed highest trade surplus of more than US$860 million.

The US, European countries, Japan and RoK are the largest importers of local wood and wood products.

2016 is estimated to be the year that offer more chances for local wood exporters as many free trade agreements were signed, along with export taxes will be reduced, helping local producers to expand their production and consumption markets.
