(ĐN)- Farmers in Tan Phu district’s Tra Co commune are earning high profits from blue-legged prawn harvest because of high output.
The commune is now home to some 41 hectares of blue-legged prawn.
So far, Tan Phu district has set up an around 30-ha area in Tra Co commune to breed blue-legged prawn under the Vietnamese Good Agriculture Practice (VietGAP) standards.
The farming has brought high economic benefits for farmers and directly improved their living conditions. At the current prices of VND155,000 per kilogram, farmers in the district can earn more than VND100 million per ha in profit from blue-legged prawns .
Presently, Tan Phu is making efforts to build a brand name for the district’s Tra Co blue-legged prawn.
