(ĐN)- Late last month, a cooperation agreement between Dong Nai and Thai Amata Corporation was signed in Thailand’s Bangkok capital.
Under the agreement, two sides have agreed to implement a mega-project for the construction of a high-technology park and urban zone in the province's Long Thanh district.
Particularly, the province and the corp will work together to strengthen the cooperation in deploying the US$530 million mega-project to transform a 1.285-ha property into a modern, international-level urban area that will boost the district's socio-economic development.

“Amata Group has been doing long-term business effectively and stably in Dong Nai. It is seen as an important economic partner who has made practical contributions to the province’s socio-economic development. Amata Vietnam industrial park is considered as model industrial park in the province and the country as well,” Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai said.
The project is divided into three stages. The first involves the construction of a high-technology park that will attract investors in nano and biological technologies. The second involves the setting up of an urban zone consisting of apartments, hospitals, schools and logistics infrastructure. The third involves the construction of shopping malls and food and entertainment outlets.
Amata Group President Vikrom Kromadit pledged that the group would not only invest in technical infrastructure but also call on prestigious investors in the world for investment in the hi-tech industrial park and service urban area, ensuring the province’s orientation of attracting investment. The project is expected to become Asia’s financial centre in the near future.
