According to Director Le Van Danh of the department, over the first six months of the year, Dong Nai earns nearly US$5.8 billion from exports, a 15.8 percent year-on-year increase. 0.9% higher than the country's average level. The province’s consumer price index in Jan-June rose 4.33 percent against the same period of last year while turnover from retails reached more than VND53.6 trillion.
In the period, Dong Nai Market Management Bureau handled more than 1,300 violations, which were mainly related to smuggling, selling of fake and low-quality products and food safety violations, and collected over VND4 billion in fines.
From now till the end of the year, the market management agencies will keep a close eye on market developments to promptly regulate prices while intensifying inspections of food hygiene and trade fraud.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh asked the department to continue its efforts to boost trade promotion activities, cooperate with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to support for the sustainable development of rural industries, take measures to stabilize commodity prices and prevent counterfeit goods.
