(ĐN)- On March 28, Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee had a working session with Lifsap project’s management board to review the implementation of the Livestock Competitiveness and Food Safety Project (Lifsap) in the period of 2010-2012.
After nearly 3 years of implementation, the project funded to build fresh fruit areas at 17 markets, two slaughter-houses, 170 biogas plants, and breeding infrastructure for breeders. Besides, the project organized training courses and seminars on bio-security measures on breeding to improve the efficiency of household-scale breeders, minimize the impact of processing cattle and fowl on the environment, and ensure food safety and hygiene.
It’s estimated that more than US$7.6 million will be disbursed to construct 15 markets and 34 concentrated slaughter-houses by 2015.
