(ĐN)- Retail sales of goods and services in Dong Nai exceeded VND7,300 billion in October, an increase of 1.8 percent over the previous month, reported Department of Industry and Trade.
This figure brought the province’s total retail sales in the past ten months to more than VND68,800 billion, up 19% year-on-year.
This is a relatively low growth, because in the previous years, the total retail sales often picked up 25-26% year-on-year.
In the first nine months, consumption slowed down due to economic woes, pushing up inventories, causing some difficulties for businesses.
In Jan-Oct period, the hotel-restaurant sector saw a highest increase of 26.6%; the increased figures for the service, the tourism and trade sectors were 26%, 25% and 18%, respectively.
