Dong Nai-based FIEs engaged in the manufacture of electronic circuit boards have faced fierce competition from Chinese manufacturers that caused a sharp drop in the foreign-owned computer and office equipment sector.
Overall, the foreign invested sector’s industrial production value in the province grew by nearly 19% between January and October 2011, representing 80 % of the yearly plan. High growth rates were seen in some industries, namely food and beverage (22%); textiles (28.5%); furniture manufacturing (19%), electricity production and distribution (38%)….
