Dong Nai’s electricity sector targets to reduce power consumption by between 10 and 50 per cent to help ease the current shortage. It will make necessary efforts to cut back the use of public lighting, and directed businesses across the province to reduce energy consumption.
Meanwhile, the sector will also encourage households to save electricity in daily activities by using compact lights and solar water heaters.
Recently, a program to replace incandescent lamps with compact fluorescent lamps for the poor is being launched in Dong Nai, a lot of poor households are benefited from this program.
In the coming time, the company will cooperate with related agencies to implement measures to encourage economical power usage, reduce investments to develop energy-providing networks and contribute to environment protection.
