Banks raise over VND55 tril in deposits in 4 months

(ĐN)- According to the report from Dong Nai Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam, the province-based commercial banks raised a total of more than VND55 trillion in deposits in the first four months of this year.

(ĐN)- According to the report from Dong Nai Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam, the province-based commercial banks raised a total of more than VND55 trillion in deposits in the first four months of this year, up 38 percent year-on-year and 7.3 percent compared to the beginning of the year; foreign currency deposits account for 16 percent of total deposits.

 

The banks’ loan turnover is estimated to reach over VND52 trillion, up 22% from early this year and 36.7% against the same period of last year. Of which, short term loans increased 9%, long and medium term loans up 8%.

 

Loans in VND rose by 9.4 percent while foreign currency loans increased by 6.2 percent.
